Duncan spent the day stacking wooden
blocks to make a fort while they were inside the porch behind the house. His
daughter Ruby was twelve years old and acted as ordinary as any little girl
would act. She looked a lot like her mother and had long black hair, blue eyes
with the nose of an elf.
“Father, how did you meet mommy?”
she asked.
“Oh darling it was by accident, but
I learned how great she was after the first two years,” he answered realizing
he had to lie out of his teeth.
“I want to be a princess when I grow
up,” began Ruby. “Can I be a princess?”
“You’re a princess of the Kingdom of
Jaydon,” declared Duncan.
“Really!” exclaimed Ruby.
“Yes, before I met your mother I
ruled the kingdom with my father.”
“Then what happened?” she asked.
“I met your mom and we had you. I
decided I wanted to stay here.”
“Didn’t mommy want to return with
you to Jaydon to be your queen?”
“No, mommy wanted to stay at the
cottage and work daddy into a slave,” replied Duncan.
“That’s so sad,” began Ruby. “When I
get older I would never do that.”
“I’m sure you wouldn’t,” replied
Duncan with a smile.
Then they turned around and saw
Stenyada standing by the door. She didn’t look very happy at Duncan and Duncan
knew why. She overheard his conversation with Ruby.
“Hi mommy,” gasped Ruby.
“Hey honey,” answered Stenyada.
“Mommy why can’t we live at the
castle?” she asked.
“What castle?” asked Stenyada.
“Daddy says I’m a princess.”
“No honey, daddy lies,” replied
Stenyada.
“But mommy, daddy said he’s a prince
of the Kingdom of Jaydon.”
“No, daddy’s not a prince and you’re
not a princess. Now, go play in your room so I can be alone with your father,”
ordered Stenyada and watched her daughter stomp off.
“You disappoint me Duncan,” said Stenyada with
a cold tone in her voice.
“I’ve disappointed you since day
one, so what’s new?” he replied.
“You fill our child with all these,
play pretty excuses, things that she’s not. You say you’re a prince, but yet
you don’t act like one!”
“I am a prince,” said Duncan.
“You were a prince and if there was
an ounce of kindness you wouldn’t have plucked my virginity.”
“You were never a virgin, you were
out whoring more than I was,” declared Duncan and got his face slapped.
“Just remember who’s got the power
to break you,” she commanded. “Or do I have to demonstrate.”
Then a few seconds latter Duncan
felt a huge pain in his chest, “Ouch, ok you win.”
“And don’t you forget that,” she
ordered as she renounced her power, “my useless parents abandoned me, but
you’ll be staying with me until our child is able to find a man.”
The former prince was in the kitchen
cutting potatoes to put on the stove. Then there was a knock at the door and
Ruby ran to the front door and was about to open the door.
Duncan answered the door with his
daughter and saw two figures outside, a man and woman. The man was older, but
the girl looked like she was in her early twenties with blue eyes and blonde
hair. She was beautiful and right away Duncan fantasized about having sex with
her. She was so exquisite, with a plump bottom and succulent breasts and a
pretty face.
“Hi, what can I do for you?” he
asked.
“Hi” said the man. “My name is Erike
and this is my daughter Rose. We’re seeking a place to lodge for the night,
would it be ok if we spent the night?”
“Of course,” Duncan replied as
Stenyada stood next to him.
“You don’t mind do you honey?” asked
Duncan.
“It’s just for the night?” asked
Stenyada.
“Yes,” said Erike.
Stenyada backed away as the visitors
walked in and Rose looked around.
They seemed
happy to meet everyone and then Rose smiled at Ruby. Stenyada felt jealous of
Rose because she looked attractive.
“And who might you be?” asked Rose
as she put her hand on the child.
“My name is Ruby and I want to be a
princess.”
“I’m a real princess on my way to
Crescent Kingdom to marry a prince.”
“Wow, my daddy is prince of Jaydon,”
said Ruby.
Rose looked at Duncan as though she
couldn’t believe it. He was handsome and she could see him as the prince.
Duncan smiled at her and laughed.
“Children have the most vivid
imagination,” Duncan continued to laugh. “Let’s have supper.”
Duncan finished cutting up the
potatoes and put them in the boiling water. He knew that Stenyada was angry at
him, but he wanted to pork the princess. She was so beautiful, he surely could
pluck the virginity from her. She would carry his child and Stenyada wouldn’t
even know it.
“I’m really angry with you right
now,” whispered Stenyada.
“What now?” he whispered.
“Filling our child with those stupid
dreams of being a princess, now she told the girl and she didn’t need to know
who you were.”
“What do you want me to do?” he
whispered, but Stenyada didn’t say anything because the damage was already
done.
